Patient Guide
Key Information for Your Stay

Welcome

Welcome

Thank You for Trusting Us

Since opening its doors in August of 1950, Jackson-Madison County General Hospital has served West Tennessee as a leading healthcare facility. What began as a 123-bed hospital with 200 employees has grown into two locations with 771 beds total and is one of the most trusted healthcare organizations in the region. Conveniently located, Jackson-Madison County General Hospital is the only tertiary care hospital between Memphis and Nashville and is fully accredited by The Joint Commission.

As we continue to expand our services and improve technology to deliver personal care to each patient and family member, we continue to focus on our mission—to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve while providing exceptional and compassionate care.

We hope this guide answers your questions about the hospital. If you need more information or have specific concerns or needs, please contact your physician, your nurse or any member of your care team. The Patient Relations office is also available to help resolve any issue you may not be comfortable discussing with your care team.

You may also receive a survey after discharge asking about your patient experience here, and we encourage you to take the time to provide feedback on your stay with us.

Thank you for choosing us. It is our pleasure to serve you.

Sincerely,

Deann Thelen
